Our History

Our rich history history dates back to 1855. At that time we were known as Babcock Pump which was originally founded in 1855 by Mr. A Babcock and was one of the leading manufacturing companies located in the City of Ogdensburg, NY.

In 1910, J.C. Howland purchased the company and changed the name to J.C. Howland Pump Works in 1922. Our final name change occured In 1937 when the name of the company was finally changed to Howland Pump & Supply Co Inc.

In 2018 we purchased Hulbert Brothers Inc, Hulbert Tri-Lake Supply Inc. and Hulbert Supply Co Inc. of Vermont, bringing the total number of branches up to fourteen. Professional Solutions with a Local Focus.
